Day 1

Welcome and Preparation

Module 1: Confidence and Stage Presence

Exploring the critical role of self-confidence in successful public speaking and personal expression.

Activity 1: Introducing Myself

Participants present information about themselves to the group to help build confidence and self-esteem.

Module 2: The Power of Influence and Persuasion – How to Capture Attention

Discussion on the importance of formulating and delivering ideas designed to influence, inspire, and engage audiences.

Activity 2: The Blind Guide

In small groups, three participants attempt to build a tower using alternating colored Lego blocks. Two participants are blindfolded, while one serves as the captain without a blindfold. The captain directs the blindfolded team members using voice commands: one blindfolded person builds the tower, while the other relays the captain’s instructions.

Synthesis Session

Summary and discussion highlighting the key takeaways from the previous activity.

Module 3: Structure of Public Speaking

Overview of public speaking structure, preparation techniques, and key delivery considerations.

Activity 3: Crafting a Crazy Story

Participants work in groups to create a story based on a single source topic.

Module 4: Developing and Delivering the Speech

Focus on structuring speech content, identifying effective delivery strategies, and preparing personally for presentation.

Final Synthesis and Assignment Delivery

Participants select one of the provided topics for a 5- to 10-minute presentation.
