Course Outline

Introduction

Data management involves the storage and processing of information. Within an enterprise setting, this process expands significantly in scope. The volume of data and the speed at which it must be processed, secured, shared, and analyzed are critical factors.

This course is designed for entry-level engineers, detailing the technologies, tools, architectures, and design methodologies employed to manage large-scale data. We will explore traditional storage methods, such as relational databases, alongside modern, less structured approaches.

The curriculum compares traditional file systems with distributed file systems, and conventional server architecture with clustered server architecture, all within the context of managing and processing big data across distributed environments.

Attendees will participate in hands-on exercises and assessments, followed by instructor coaching and group discussions.
