  • Developing a structured study plan, identifying key resources, and timeboxing for efficient preparation.
  • Mastering test-taking strategies: interpreting scenarios, eliminating distractors, and managing time effectively.

Module 2: Design Resilient Architectures

  • Constructing multi-AZ and multi-region architectures to ensure high availability.
  • Understanding failure modes, recovery objectives (RTO/RPO), and implementing automated recovery patterns.
  • Hands-on exercise: Architecting a fault-tolerant web application.

Module 3: Design High-Performing Architectures

  • Selecting optimal compute and storage services for performance and scalability, including EC2, Lambda, EBS, S3, and EFS.
  • Implementing caching, using CloudFront CDN, and optimizing database performance patterns.
  • Hands-on exercise: Designing systems for scale and low latency.

Module 4: Design Secure Applications and Architectures

  • Applying Identity and Access Management best practices, covering IAM, roles, policies, and STS.
  • Strengthening network security through VPCs, subnets, security groups, and NACLs, alongside encryption strategies using KMS.
  • Hands-on exercise: Securing an application stack from end to end.

Module 5: Design Cost-Optimized and Operationally Excellent Architectures

  • Employing cost optimization techniques such as right-sizing, savings plans, and lifecycle policies.
  • Achieving operational excellence through monitoring, logging with CloudWatch and CloudTrail, and automation.
  • Hands-on exercise: Implementing cost controls and creating operational runbooks.

Module 6: Integration, Databases, and Migration Patterns

  • Selecting appropriate managed services for data and integration, such as RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.
  • Exploring data migration and hybrid connectivity patterns using DMS, DataSync, Direct Connect, and VPN.
  • Case study: Choosing the right data architecture to meet specific business requirements.

Module 7: Practice Exams and Question Walkthroughs

  • Completing a timed practice exam that covers all major domains.
  • Engaging in detailed reviews of selected questions and common exam pitfalls.
  • Receiving individual feedback and defining action items for continued study.

Module 8: Capstone Design Workshop

  • Collaborative exercise: Designing a comprehensive solution for a sample enterprise use case.
  • Creating architecture diagrams, justifying service selections, and presenting key trade-offs.
  • Participating in peer reviews and instructor critiques aligned with Well-Architected principles.
