Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A major financial services firm sought to transition from a leading commercial BI solution to an Open Source platform, specifically Apache Superset, to achieve significant savings on license costs for one of its key products.
Deliverables NobleProg held multiple project meetings with the client to gain a comprehensive understanding of the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. From these discussions, we developed a detailed Statement of Work to guide and track project progress. Our lead consultant focused on aligning the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs of each report type. We recommended adjustments to the data stores to optimize Superset usage and ensure peak performance, while providing guidance to the team on implementing these changes. Once the data store and pipeline were optimized, our consultants began building and deploying a range of reports based on both existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To meet specific presentation needs, we developed custom plug-ins that enabled more interactive data displays, such as drill-down features.
Outcome Our team has been constructing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is transferred to the customer's organization for long-term maintenance of dashboards and reports. The project is currently ongoing and has received positive feedback from both the client's business unit and their end users. Reflecting its success, the initiative has been expanded to encompass additional products and end clients.
