Requirement for Superset Consulting A large financial services company sought to replace an industry-leading BI solution in one of its key products with an open-source system (Superset) to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted several project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this understanding, we created a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the reporting requirements for each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant proposed modifications to the data stores to ensure optimal use of Superset and peak performance, providing guidance to the team implementing these changes. Following the optimization of the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, custom plugins were developed to enable more interactive data presentation (e.g., drill-down features).
Outcome The consultants have been building new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer organization to maintain the dashboards and reports.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer's business and its end clients. To underscore the success of the project, it has been expanded to include more products and end clients.
