The Need for Superset Consulting A major financial services organization sought to transition from a proprietary, industry-leading BI solution in a key product to an Open Source alternative (Superset) to significantly reduce licensing expenses.
Deliverables NobleProg collaborated with the client through several project meetings to thoroughly define the requirements, scope, risks, and technical landscape. This led to the creation of a detailed Statement of Work to guide and monitor project progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs for each report type. The consultant recommended optimizations to the data stores to maximize Superset's potential and ensure peak performance, while providing guidance to the team implementing these changes. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began developing and deploying various reports based on both existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To present data as requested, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data visualization features, such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcomes Our consultants have built new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is transferred to the client's organization to maintain the dashboards and reports independently.
The project is ongoing and has been well-received by both the client's business and their end users. Highlighting the project's success, its scope has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
